The third edition of Dynamic Dance Dialogue “Step by Step”, organized by HKDance/FLSH and partner with BeijingDance/LDTX, will showcase three distinct performances celebrating the rise of modern dance in China from July 4 to 6, 2025, at The Box, Freespace, WestK.
Together with City Contemporary Dance Company (established 1979), Guangdong Modern Dance Company (established 1992) and BeijingDance/LDTX (established 2005), and their respective choreographers Sang Jijia (桑吉加), Li Pianpian (李翩翩) and Hao Ying (郝螢) — these three companies have each emerged at crucial moments in the history of Chinese modern dance. Each choreographer debuted 12 years apart, embodying distinct aesthetic evolutions while sharing relentless artistic dedication. Their works exemplify the vitality, creativity, and enduring relevance of this dynamic art form in China today.
