The 4th【Dynamic Dance Dialogue】will be held from 3 to 19 July at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre.
This year’s theme is “Blossoming”, refers to the third generation of modern dance companies in China. It brings together troupes from six cities — Beijing, Changsha, Jinan, Guiyang, Ningbo and Hong Kong — for three consecutive nights of performances from 17 to 19 July. The Hong Kong Dance Company and its guest choreographer Xuannian Space are also specially invited to perform from 3 to 5 July.
From 3 to 5 July, the platform opens with a specially invited performance of a brand-new work, “The Silence We Carry”, by the Hong Kong Dance Company and guest choreographer Xuannian Space. The work opens a dialogue across time and space with Wu Guanzhong, allowing audiences to feel the rhythm of life and its deeper meanings and inviting them into the painter’s inner landscape.
From 17 to 19 July, the performances run over three days, with two companies presenting one programmer each in two separate sessions per day.
“DIVINE•NIX” will be performed by Beijing Ying Dance Theatre and Changsha Mid-mountain Dancers.
“MAPPING•SUSPENDED” will be presented by Hong Kong MW Dance Theatre and Jinan Shandong Modern Dance Company.
“THE RISING SUN•HUAN” is presented by Guiyang Woo Dance Company and Ningbo OceanFlow Contemporary Dance Company.
